Heading to Liverpool for the Labour Conference? Then you won’t want to miss the best party in town!
Join Tony Adams MBE, Chair of Taking Action on Addiction, for an uplifting evening at our Sober Party:
This unique event promises great food, mocktails, and live music from Liverpool’s very own Astle. Expect a vibrant atmosphere with special guests from politics, sport, and showbiz, including football legends John Barnes and Peter Reid.

Since opening in 2011, The Brink Café has stood at the heart of Liverpool’s recovery community. More than just a café, it is a welcoming social hub offering delicious, affordable food (including what many call the best breakfast in Liverpool), alongside vital support for individuals and families affected by drug, alcohol, and gambling addiction.
During the Labour Conference, The Brink will be open daily from 10 am, providing a safe, inclusive, alcohol-free space - because recovery happens here.

Our 2024 Sober Party, held on Sunday, 22nd September at The Beatles Story Museum during the Labour Conference, was a powerful and uplifting evening.
Dozens of MPs, councillors and party members joined us as we celebrated recovery and raised awareness of addiction.
Highlights included:
That evening affirmed that recovery is something to celebrate and that bringing together people from different backgrounds can highlight both the challenges and the hope that surrounds addiction.
Conference time can be a difficult period for anyone facing substance use challenges. The Sober Party is our invitation to come together in celebration, solidarity, and support.
Enjoy the food, music, company, and the reminder that you don’t need alcohol to make an evening memorable. Let’s build on the momentum of last year and push for even greater awareness, connection, and change.
We hope to see you there.
